In what appears to be a disturbing trend, a middle school in Washington state is the latest example of a “woke” school gone wrong.

Desert Hills Middle School in Kennewick had a school pep rally featuring an unsavory “licking game” that included students and staff. The game involved licking marshmallow cream off either side of two clear plexiglass panes while students screamed in disgust. To make matters worse, the principal himself was seen laughing and filming the scene with his phone.

This game was a gross violation of boundaries and sent a message to students that inappropriate behavior is acceptable. It’s no wonder then that parents are concerned about the safety of their children in school. With video evidence of adults engaging in such behavior, it’s clear that something needs to be done to address the problem.

Unfortunately, the school’s response has been lackluster. Superintendent Dr. Traci Pierce called the incident “not an appropriate activity” but failed to take any disciplinary action. Principal Casey Gant issued an apology, but that’s not enough. Parents are right to demand more accountability and action from the school.

Woke schools are not only promoting inappropriate behavior, they’re creating an unsafe environment for kids. It’s time for parents to step up and speak out against these kinds of activities and demand that schools be held accountable.

Parents should also be aware of the potential risks associated with “woke” schools. Woke schools are often experimental and progressive, and they may not be the best environment for children. Parents should be vigilant about monitoring their child’s activities and interactions in school and should be aware of any warning signs.

This is just warped. Schools should be a safe place for children to learn and grow, and inappropriate behavior like that seen at Desert Hills Middle School should not be tolerated. Schools must be held accountable and parents must speak out and demand better for their children.
