The recent allegations against former President Donald Trump surrounding the hush-money payment to Stormy Daniels have sparked a political firestorm. House Republicans have demanded that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg provide all documents and communications related to his investigation into Trump, and have also requested a transcribed interview to Congress.
However, Republican Kentucky Rep. James Comer, Chair of the House Oversight Committee, has spoken out against Bragg’s investigation, calling it a “political stunt”.
In an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union”, Comer expressed his concerns, stating, “We don’t believe tax dollars should be spent for this. We believe this is a political stunt by Mr Bragg. We believe the statute of limitations has expired on all of this stuff.”
The political biased in the Department of Justice and the corruption of the Democratic Party are becoming increasingly apparent. It appears as though the DOJ is trying to use the legal system to prosecute Trump for political purposes, instead of actually seeking justice.
The charges against Trump are almost certainly motivated by political gain, rather than actual criminal activity. It’s sad to see the DOJ and the Democrats stoop to such tactics in order to gain the upper hand in the political landscape.
Unfortunately, this is only the latest example of the Democrats’ corrupt tactics. Over the past several years, the Democrats have been using their power to target and punish their political enemies. From the IRS targeting of conservative groups to the Mueller investigation, it’s clear that the Democrats are willing to go to any lengths to advance their agenda.
We must stand up against this corruption and fight for justice. It’s important to remember that no one, regardless of their political beliefs, should be above the law. We must demand that the DOJ and the Democrats stop using the legal system as a weapon against their political opponents. It’s time for us to take a stand and make sure that justice is served.
