The liberal media loves to proclaim what is and isn’t ‘conservative’ and ‘American’ – and hysterically, they’ve decided that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis fits neither bill. On Tuesday’s Chris Jansing Reports, nominal Republican Tara Setmayer declared DeSantis’ fight with Disney to be ‘petulant’, ‘not conservative’, and even ‘un-American’.

It all began when Jansing asked Setmayer about the 2024 horse race and the GOP’s relationship with Donald Trump. After a long-winded answer, Setmayer accused DeSantis of engaging in ‘political retribution against a private company’ and declared it to be ‘not conservative and quite frankly un-American’.

MSNBC’s Way Too Early host Jonathan Lemire followed up by claiming that DeSantis is simply trying to paint himself as a ‘fighter’. He then suggested that Disney’s expansion plans are a ‘rebuke’ to the Governor and reminded viewers that Disney is the ‘largest employer in the state’.

But the real kicker came when Lemire condemned DeSantis for signing a six-week abortion ban in the middle of the night, claiming that it was ‘more extreme than most states in the nation’.

It’s clear that the liberal media – and especially MSNBC – are furious that DeSantis is standing up for what is right and fighting against the woke movement. Instead of applauding the governor for taking a stand against corporate cronyism, they are instead calling him ‘un-American’ and claiming that his actions are ‘petulant’ and ‘not conservative’.

But if the liberal media had their way, they would have Disney – and all other corporations – doing whatever they wanted without any pushback or resistance. They would have corporate giants like Disney running roughshod over our rights and freedoms, and have us all bow down to the altar of wokeism.

Thankfully, we have leaders like DeSantis who aren’t afraid to push back against the liberal agenda and stand up for what he believes in. And for that, he should be applauded – not condemned.
