The liberal media has been on a mission to push an anti-gun agenda for years now, and CBS Mornings was no exception this past Friday. In their report, they highlighted a new anti-gun group Lives on the Line and suggested that it is “stretching across district, state, and party lines demanding an end to gun violence.” The problem is, a delve into the history of the moms they highlighted revealed they’re either long-time liberals or don’t have a strong political history.

Correspondent Adriana Diaz started off by mentioning the 24 year anniversary of the Columbine shooting, failing to mention that the shooting occurred during the national assault weapons ban. She then touted the ridiculous suggestion that “if they don’t speak up, they’re part of the problem.”

The moms highlighted in the report were either long-time liberals, or didn’t have a strong political history. Annie Noll, for example, has a publicized history of left-leaning politics. Her Instagram account has multiple posts opposing pro-life legislation and she has a post from 2018 opposing then-President Trump on immigration. And she didn’t just wake up after the recent shootings and become anti-gun rights; in 2018 she shared a post from the anti-gun group Everytown for Gun Safety.

Anna Dudenhoeffer Simpson and Sara Ennis took the anti-gun rights rhetoric a step further into bizarre territory by making it about race. Dudenhoeffer Simpson said “we don’t have enough white people who are willing to stand up and say, “This is not right,” while Ennis chimed in with “because we know that black children and LGBT people are affected by gun violence at a much higher level.”

Simpson’s political views weren’t hard to find, with her Instagram account linking to the far-left liberal organization Act Blue and a fundraising page for anti-gun rights Moms Demand Action. On Facebook, her profile pictures feature her in a Kamala Harris t-shirt, a Biden/Harris yard sign, a tribute to late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, and Black Lives Matter banners.

Despite the suggestion that Lives on the Line is a bipartisan group, Diaz never provided evidence of the purported bipartisan nature of the group or its members. Instead, she bemoaned states that were respecting gun rights instead of trying to abolish them.

It’s clear that CBS Mornings is pushing an anti-gun agenda, and that the women they highlighted in their report are long-time liberal activists. The Second Amendment gives Americans the right to bear arms, and it’s a right that must be protected. The liberal media’s attempt to push their anti-gun agenda is wrong, and it must be opposed.
