For years, Democrats have used the justice system as a weapon, and now, it appears they may be aiming it at former President Donald Trump. On Tuesday, Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy asked White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre point-blank if the White House was worried about a potential indictment of President Joe Biden.

The following is a transcript of the exchange:

Doocy: “President Biden is a lawyer—as a lawyer, is he concerned at all that a local DA indicting a former president could down the line open up the possibility, set the precedent that local DAs that don’t like former President Biden could indict him?”

Jean-Pierre: “I’m not gonna comment from here.”

Doocy: “Why don’t you have more to say about the Trump indictment?”

Jean-Pierre: “It is an ongoing case and I’ve been very clear about that, we’ve been prudent about that and not commenting on ongoing cases and we’re gonna stick to that.”

Doocy: “But for better or worse, all that anyone in the country is talking about at this exact moment while we’re in here is Trump, and they look here to find out what the White House thinks about it, and?”

Jean-Pierre: “That’s your assessment, that’s not my assessment. I am just laying out the facts that we are just not gonna comment on an ongoing case from here and we’ve been very consistent, we’ve been very prudent and we’re gonna stick there.”

It’s no surprise that the White House is avoiding commenting on the indictment of Donald Trump. After all, if the precedent is set that a local DA can indict a former president, then Democrats could use the same tactic to try and indict Biden.

The Democratic Party has weaponized the justice system to go after political opponents before. In 2019, House Democrats launched an impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump without a shred of evidence. Democrats have also repeatedly used the justice system to target conservatives like Roger Stone and Paul Manafort in order to make a political statement.

Now, Democrats are using the justice system to go after Donald Trump again, this time with an indictment. It’s clear that the Democratic Party is using the justice system to try and score political points, and the White House knows it. That is why they are refusing to comment on the Trump indictment.

The Democrats are playing a dangerous game. If they are successful in indicting Donald Trump, then they will set a dangerous precedent that could be used against Joe Biden or any other political opponent. The White House knows this, and that is why they are being careful to not comment on the Trump indictment.
