The tragic crash on Interstate 10 in Arizona on Tuesday resulted in a toxic spill near Tucson and a series of evacuation and shelter-in-place orders. Unfortunately, despite the danger posed by the spilled liquid nitric acid, the incident has been met with media silence, leaving many to wonder why it isn’t receiving more attention.

The commercial truck carrying the hazardous material overturned on the highway, killing the driver and spilling the substance onto the road. Authorities issued an evacuation order for all residents within a half-mile of the crash site and a shelter-in-place order for those within a one-mile radius. The interstate was also closed in both directions.

Nitric acid, a colorless liquid with yellow or red fumes and a harsh smell, can cause serious health issues if inhaled. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, exposure can lead to irritation to the eyes, skin and mucous membrane, and can even cause delayed pulmonary edema, bronchitis, pneumonitis and dental erosion.

At the time of writing, the evacuation order was still in place for the area around the crash site, and the shelter-in-place order has been reinstated after gassing occurred while crews were attempting to remove the cargo from the crashed truck. Unfortunately, Interstate 10 remains closed between Tucson’s Kolb and Rita roads.

It’s concerning that this incident hasn’t received more attention. The Arizona Department of Public Safety has asked motorists and the general public to avoid the area, but with so little coverage, many may not be aware of the potential danger.

It’s reminiscent of how the media has completely ignored Biden’s “control burn” of the Ohio train disaster earlier this week.

We must continue to raise awareness of this incident and the dangers of toxic spills. We should be alarmed at the lack of coverage in the media, and we must make sure that those who are affected are provided with the necessary resources and support. We must also ensure that similar incidents are taken seriously and that the public is adequately informed.

At some point, Americans have to ask why the media has denied coverage of both disasters but jump all over the UFO stories.
