It’s no secret that the Democrats have been pushing a progressive agenda, and this week South Carolina Senator Tim Scott sounded the alarm about what he sees as their blueprint for ruining America.
In an interview on “Fox News Sunday,” Senator Scott said, “If you wanted to ruin America you would print and spend trillions of dollars leading to the highest inflation…
Why is it negative to point out that under Joe Biden’s leadership, we’ve had the highest inflation in 40 years? Why is it negative to point out that we’ve had four and a half million people across our southern border illegally? Why is it negative to point out the fact that we’ve had 100,000 deaths to overdoses linked to fentanyl?”
Senator Scott went on to say that without understanding progressives’ weak points, conservatives won’t be able to offer solutions for the challenges Americans face today. He also rejected claims from some quarters that his message has been too negative by pointing out actual facts about current events.
When asked if he was ready to announce his decision on a presidential campaign yet, Senator Scott responded with a joke – saying he made a decision at 11:30 am that day – which was simply going to church!
He did not deny interest in running for President though; instead turning attention towards children growing up in single-parent homes like him who should have access to education and opportunity – something he believes Republicans can help make happen.
To back this up, he pointed out legislative actions he’s been involved in as a Republican – such as lowering taxes for single moms by 70%, promising $4,000 back into average family pockets each year through tax reform acts, and reducing unemployment rates among African-Americans, Hispanics, and Asians all-time lows since World War II.
He also spoke positively about school choice which has seen more than $50 billion allocated toward attacking poverty in the United States.
Overall, Senator Scott seems intent on selling Americans an optimistic message of hope rather than following progressives who are trying “to make America into a grievance culture…
I wish we’d spend more time talking about the goodness of this nation and stop the cancel culture.” It looks like there will be plenty more opportunities for us all to hear his ideas over the coming months!
