Only in America can you have candidates who hate the country, laws, and law enforcement and still run for office. We have several examples of this in key Democrats like Ilhan Omar but there is a new rising star in Georgia—Stacey Abrams. With more of the same anti-American, anti-law, and order rhetoric we see in deep blue states, Abrams threatens the relationship between her state and the men and women charged to protect and serve.
During a recent debate with Governor Brian Kemp, Abrams complained that she doesn’t have law enforcement behind her in support like Kemp does and cited that it’s because the police want to “take Black people off the streets”.
Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade asked Georgia GOP candidate Hershal Walker to respond to Abrams’s false claims and the Republican did not hold back. “It is sad,” Walker said.
He continued, “We have people that I’m running against that say America needs to apologize for whiteness, but you’re going to have people are going to vote for them. But only in America.”
Kemp pointed out during the debate that law enforcement does not support Abrams because she supports the defund movement. Abrams didn’t argue with his notation and in fact doubled down on it by claiming officers target people in the black community unfairly.
“I’m not a member of the good ol’ boys club,” Abrams responded. “So, no. I don’t have 107 sheriffs who want to be able to take Black people off the streets, who want to be able to go without accountability. I don’t believe every sheriff wants that, but I do know that we need a governor who believes in both defending law enforcement but also defending the people of Georgia.”
Walker noted again that only in America can an anti-patriot run for office and get votes.
“I guarantee they wouldn’t have the right to say that,” he said, adding that since the U.S. is great, it grants people the right to bash the country.
“What we have to do, though, to quit trying to separate America and bring people together. And I believe in unifying. I believe in representing everyone, not representing a certain party,” he said.
Abrams might not realize this, but as Americans, we enjoy freedoms that other countries do not have. Including the right to speak out against the country without fear. America is only of the only countries that allow anti-patriots to run for office. While these anti-American politicians might say they hate America and American laws, they are in fact taking advantage of a very unique freedom only offered here.
