New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently stated that migrants from the U.S.-Mexico border should be sent to every city ‘throughout the entire country’.
While this is a noble idea in theory, the sheer lack of resources has prevented this from happening, and Mayor Adams’ administration is struggling to find emergency shelter sites and is pleading for help from federal and state officials.
Unfortunately, it seems that President Joe Biden’s foolish border policies are exacerbating the situation.
Not only has he failed to address the root causes of the immigration crisis, but his administration also continues to push for open borders.
Even worse, the few measures that have been taken by the Biden administration has only increased the number of migrants flooding across the border.

The irony here is that not only is the border crisis a burden to New York City, it is a burden to cities across the country. But the Democratic-controlled cities are receiving the brunt of the criticism. This really isn’t fair. Furthermore, these cities are struggling not only to deal with the influx of migrants, but also to house them in adequate locations.
It is time for the Biden administration to face the effects of its disastrous border policies. Moreover, the partisan bickering must come to an end. Congress — particularly the Republican Party — must take action to comprehensively address the immigration crisis. The issue is not just on the border, it has already reached cities across the entire country, and it is increasing.

The Republican Party must take swift action and lead the country towards much-needed reform. This includes ensuring that migrants have the ability to obtain lawful work status and providing resources to the affected areas. More importantly, Congress must prioritize the needs of the American people above all else. It is time to act.
I think it’s very telling how Adams has changed his tune about New York being a ‘sanctuary city’. It’s also extremely telling how Biden continues to ignore his friend Adams now that the Democrats has taken to speaking out against his border policies.
