How is it that back in the day we had paper ballots counted by hand and seemed to have the results faster than we do nowadays? I think a big drawback post-2020 is the amount of mail-in ballots. Arizona candidate Kari Lake said that her state is still working through some 650,000 mail-in ballots. Because the 2020 elections were so questionable, many AZ voters carried their mail-in ballots to the voting station on Tuesday.

I huge chunk of the mistrust is in the new digital system, so why no return to paper ballots? That’s what a lot of voters are asking and Lake just joined in on the calls to change the system back.

Lake told reporters that she thinks she has it in the bag adding, “We’re only down by a few thousand votes right now. When those votes come in, I think we’re going to see a lot of liberal minds kind of blowing up.”

I know Democrats were quick to write off Rep Lauren Boebert but as of today, she’s back in the lead with votes still being counted.

Lake said the 2000 election was the start of annual electoral chaos, when the Bush-Gore race became forever associated with paper-ballot “hanging chads” and the “Brooks Brothers Riot” demonstration at Miami canvassing headquarters that was associated with political figures like GOP consultant Roger Stone.

“I want all Democrats, Independents and Republicans to trust in the system. And when I win … this is going to be top of my agenda,” Lake said, calling on the return of machine-less voting and paper ballots.

Lake cites her opponent Katie Hobbs for the current mess in the polls because she was charged with overseeing the process. At the time of this report, Lake was barely behind Hobbs who is at 50.4% to Lake’s 49.6%.
