It seems like Democrats’ plans may be backfiring. Despite the recent Trump indictment, it appears Joe Biden’s time in office is still in trouble.
A recent CNN poll revealed that only 32% of Americans think Biden should be reelected, with 37% thinking so in December. This drop in approval is largely due to the younger voting population and liberals, who should naturally be in favor of a Democrat president.
Additionally, Biden’s approval rating is only 42%. However, the approval ratings for specific issues are much lower. On the economy, only 37% approve, while immigration has only 35% approval. This means that Biden is underperforming his overall job approval on a slew of issues. The only issue that Biden has a higher approval rating on is the environment, with 46% approval.
The Trump indictment hasn’t done anything to help Joe Biden and the Democrats in power. They’re now facing a slew of issues, including the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) encountering over 2.3 million migrants in Fiscal Year 2022 and another 600,000 migrants evading CBP that fiscal year. This is not to mention the economic uncertainty caused by bank failures, inflation, and the potential collapse of the dollar as the world’s reserve currency.
It looks like Joe Biden and the Democrats have some serious work to do if they want to be reelected. It’s clear that the Trump indictment hasn’t been able to save Biden from the political troubles he’s facing, and it looks like he will have to work hard to get the approval of the American people.
