I recently stumbled upon a very disturbing video of Shellyne Rodriguez, a self-proclaimed “far-left professor”, and her uncalled-for and irrational actions toward students of the pro-life establishment.
In the video, Rodriguez bursts into a rant about the inappropriateness of the pro-life materials that were being set up at the student center. She screamed and shouted profanities, then proceeded to throw all of the materials that these students had brought to set up their booth.
However, this didn’t end there. The story took an even more disturbing turn when the New York Post made a visit to her apartment. As they knocked on her door, Rodriguez came out, then proceeded to threaten the reporter’s neck with a large machete.
She yelled, “Get the f*** away from my door, or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!” The reporter then ran away, with Rodriguez in chase, screaming threats. Even when the reporter was safe, Rodriguez continued to threaten him from afar, “If I see you on this block one more f***ing time, you’re gonna… Get the f*** out of here, yo!”
It’s absolutely outrageous that a college professor is acting in such an irresponsible and dangerous manner. Not only did she come in with the intent to intimidate and threaten innocent students with her words, but also with a weapon. However, thankfully, Hunter College took appropriate action and Ramos will no longer teach at their school.
Violence and threats of threats are never an acceptable way to express one’s opinion, no matter how passionate one may feel about it. It is just as wrong to cause physical and psychological harm to someone when one disagrees with them as it is to be in support of pro-abortion liberals. The only way to make a real change is to ensure the safety of all individuals, regardless of their opinion.
It is important that we stand up against violent pro-abortion liberals and support saving the children from those who wish to put them in harms way. We must continue to be an outspoken pro-life establishment and take action wherever necessary.
It’s senseless and wrong to threaten others with violence, and it’s time that change is made when it comes to how we discuss different ideologies. We need to create a world that is open to opposing opinions, and willing to discuss them in a safe and respectful manner.
It’s time to put an end to the violent and uncalled-for responses to those who disagree. I don’t think that will ever happen so long as violent liberals go on ignored by the media. People need to take a big long look in the mirror and realize what exactly they’re defending or who.
The machete-wielding professor is not on the side of history I would want to be on.
