The White House senior staff reportedly organized wellness meetings for aides who may be grappling with Israel’s defensive actions against the Hamas organization.

These “listening sessions” involved substantial discussions about the conflict and its impact on White House aides, according to information from eight officials as reported by Politico.

National security adviser Jake Sullivan held a virtual wellness check staff meeting on October 13, attended by about 100 weak minded staffers, who probably needed their hands held in solidarity for being butthurt over the world events. Politico described it as an evaluation of the Biden administration’s stance on the conflict, highlighting that not everyone within the administration shares the same ridiculous perspective and may have strong, personal feelings about the fighting.  Hopefully none of this was recorded and able to be leaked to the enemy, because they would be laughing during the entire invasion.

According to one official, the wellness meetings addressed concerns related to a perceived “culture of fear” and aimed to foster a culture of support. Additionally, Chief of Staff Jeff Zients held a call with President Joe Biden’s cabinet secretaries to ensure they reached out to their Muslim, Arab American, Palestinian, and Jewish staff.  I wonder if they had a big hug fest after.

These meetings occurred amid discontent among some Democrats regarding President Biden’s approach to supporting Israel. Last week, Josh Paul, the director at the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, resigned over the conflict.

It’s worth noting that the Department of State and the Department of Defense are reportedly taking steps to address these concerns and it’s a good thing too.  We don’t need a bunch of soiled diapers that need to be changed at the White House. Secretary of State Antony Blinken acknowledged the conflict in a letter to aides and held meetings with Arab, Muslim, and Jewish employees. The Department of Defense provided resources for employees struggling with the conflict, particularly in the realm of mental health, according to a department official cited by Politico.
