The Norfolk District Attorney, Michael Morrissey, revealed that the police responded to a 911 call around 7:24 p.m. from a concerned relative who had visited the family’s home on Wilson’s Way.
Upon arrival, law enforcement found the man, woman, and their teenage daughter deceased. In a live press conference on Friday, Morrissey identified the victims as Rakesh Kamal (57), Teena Kamal (54), and Arianna Kamal (18).
State police reportedly discovered a firearm at the scene, and the medical examiner is expected to determine the cause and manner of death through an upcoming autopsy.
Morrissey assured the public during the press conference that the incident was contained to the specific dwelling, posing no threat to the wider community.
The preliminary investigation, as stated in the press release, suggests that the tragic event is isolated, with no indication of external involvement.
The DA’s office emphasized that there is no ongoing danger to the Dover community related to this incident.

While the DA’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment, Morrissey refrained from disclosing further details during the press conference, including whether it was a murder-suicide or the exact location of the bodies.
He did confirm the discovery of the firearm near Rakesh, with details about ownership pending investigation.
Morrissey noted that the last recorded homicide in Dover was in 2020, and there were no reported issues or incidents at the residence or in the neighborhood leading up to the tragic event, as of Friday’s report.
