Panelists on “Outnumbered” commended Republican presidential candidate Tim Scott for his remarkable response to inquiries about systemic racism during his appearance on “The View.”
During the discussion, “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin posed a question to Scott, urging him to provide a definition of systemic racism, highlighting the fact that he was the first African-American elected to the Senate in the South since Reconstruction.
Hostin referred to both Scott and herself as exceptions rather than the norm in America.
In response, Scott pointed out that the United States has already had an African-American president, vice president, and two secretaries of state.
“That is a dangerous, offensive, disgusting message to send to our young people today that the only way to succeed is by being the exception,” Scott said.
The focus then shifted to Joy Behar, who was absent from the Monday morning episode featuring Tim Scott.
While Behar is typically off work on Mondays, her absence drew criticism following her recent statement implying that Scott fails to grasp the systemic racism experienced by minorities in America.
“This is a significant matter,” remarked Compagno. “We have a sitting senator who is also a presidential candidate, and he has been subjected to baseless, racist, nonsensical, and fantastical comments by Behar. One would expect her to make an exception and show up for work.”
Fox News contributor Guy Benson expressed the belief that Behar could have gained valuable insights by participating in the conversation with Scott, while FOX Business’ Kennedy suggested that Behar would have been confronted with the truth.
“The truth is that her comments were deeply bigoted and divisive,” Kennedy stated. “Unfortunately, this has become a recurring theme on ‘The View’.”
