FBI Investigation Into Alleged Child Predator Halted After Capitol Riots, Allowing Perpetrator to Evade Justice for Nearly Three Years!

In a shocking revelation, court documents unveil a disturbing tale of negligence in an FBI investigation into Brogan Welsh, an alleged child predator. The investigation, which uncovered Welsh’s communication with an undercover FBI agent about engaging in sexual relations with a 9-year-old boy, was abruptly halted after the chaos of the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.

Despite the gravity of Welsh’s alleged crimes, the investigation remained dormant for almost three years, providing him with ample time to continue his sinister activities.

The Anchorage FBI eventually apprehended Welsh in October 2023 during a separate investigation, discovering him allegedly living with a 10-year-old boy in Alaska and arresting him on suspicion of distributing child pornography.

The court documents reveal that the FBI, posing as the father of a 9-year-old boy, engaged with Welsh under the username “gayboy69freak.”

Shockingly, Welsh expressed interest in traveling to Washington, DC, for sexual contact with the purported 9-year-old and even sent the undercover agent a disturbing video involving a prepubescent minor.

The FBI’s failure to conclude the initial investigation after identifying Welsh during the Capitol riots allowed him to slip through the cracks. It wasn’t until an unrelated Anchorage FBI investigation in October 2023 that Welsh was rediscovered, this time allegedly residing with a 10-year-old boy.

The documents detail a harrowing scene, as law enforcement executing a search warrant found not only Welsh but also a collection of tiny sex toys.

The conclusion states that there is probable cause to believe Welsh committed the offense of distributing child pornography.

The FBI’s explanation regarding the diversion of resources after the Capitol attack does little to assuage the shock and outrage surrounding the delayed justice in this deeply disturbing case.

The appalling negligence in pursuing crimes against children demands accountability and raises serious questions about the FBI’s commitment to protecting the most vulnerable in our society.
