A recent poll conducted by Messenger/HarrisX has revealed that the leading Republican presidential candidate and 45th President, Donald Trump, holds a substantial lead over the current President, Joe Biden, with almost a year remaining until the 2024 presidential election.

The poll indicates that 45 percent of those surveyed expressed their support for Trump, while 43 percent favored Biden. However, it’s worth noting that the two-point lead falls within the margin of error, and there remains a significant 12 percent of respondents who have yet to make a decision on their preferred candidate.

This survey, which involved 2,021 registered voters, including 753 registered Republicans, was conducted from October 30 to November 1 and carries a margin of error of 2.2 percent. Interestingly, when considering third-party candidates, Trump’s lead becomes even more substantial.

When the Green Party’s Cornel West and independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. were introduced into the equation, Trump’s support increased to six points, with 44 percent favoring the former president compared to Biden’s 38 percent. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. garnered 14 percent support, while Cornel West secured only four percent backing.

Among independent voters, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. secured the highest level of support at 34 percent, with Biden receiving 27 percent and Trump obtaining 25 percent.

Furthermore, the poll suggests that Trump is maintaining a strong lead in the Republican primary with 62 percent support, compared to 12 percent for Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) and seven percent for former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley (R-SC).

Notably, Trump’s support is solidifying in key early primary states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. A recent poll from the Des Moines Register and Mediacom shows Trump with a nearly 30-point lead over his competitors, enjoying 43 percent support. With less than three months until the Iowa caucus on January 15, Trump’s lead appears formidable at this stage, potentially securing his victory in the first contest of the nation.

As Trump’s support continues to grow, he has garnered a multitude of endorsements, including the recent endorsement from Senator Rick Scott (R-FL), who hails from the same state as Trump’s primary rival, DeSantis.

Five Thirty Eight’s endorsement tracker, which assigns point values to various endorsements, indicates that Trump has a ninefold greater endorsement value compared to DeSantis. Notable supporters include Governors Jim Justice (R-WV), Tate Reeves (R-AL), Kristi Noem (R-SC), Henry McMaster (R-SC), among others.

As Trump’s dominance in the presidential race expands, and amid challenges faced by President Biden on both domestic and international fronts, a growing number of Americans are expressing a longing for an America under Trump’s leadership.
