The irony of Ocasio-Cortez parading around in a gown worth more than what many Americans earn in a year, while attending an elite event where tickets cost $35,000, was lost on no one. Yet, Ocasio-Cortez claimed it was all above board because the dress was “loaned” to her. The point here is that many politicians, especially those claiming to be the voice of the people, live a life of privilege. Does that make them corrupt? Not necessarily.

The gifts Adams received pale in comparison to the hypocrisy displayed by figures like AOC. Yet, she has escaped any serious scrutiny for her actions, while Adams is being crucified in the media for flight upgrades and fancy hotel stays. Why the double standard?

A Small-Time Scandal Compared to Biden Family Dealings

In the grand scheme of things, the allegations against Adams are peanuts compared to the kind of corruption that’s being alleged against the Biden family. Mayor Adams doesn’t have a Hunter Biden working the system to funnel millions from foreign governments into secret accounts. The web of corruption surrounding the Bidens, including influence-peddling through Hunter’s shady business deals, makes Adams’ situation look like a minor infraction.

The Biden family’s international dealings have long raised eyebrows, yet the media and much of the political establishment continue to turn a blind eye. While Joe Biden was Vice President, Hunter Biden was striking deals with foreign governments, including China and Ukraine, to the tune of millions. The mainstream media refused to investigate these dealings with the same vigor they now apply to Adams.

If we’re going to talk about corruption, let’s address the elephant in the room. Why is Adams being taken down for accepting gifts and campaign contributions, while the Bidens continue to skate by despite the mountain of evidence suggesting far more serious corruption?
