According to the sources, Jane called one of her friends in tears while in a cab immediately after the incident, devastated by the shocking outburst. A second friend confirmed that Jane had also confided in her about the event, while a third acquaintance said Jane shared the story in 2018, coincidentally when then-Senator Kamala Harris was making headlines for her aggressive questioning of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh during his sexual assault allegations.
This revelation raises questions about the media’s willingness to look the other way when it comes to potential skeletons in the closets of high-ranking Democrats. Imagine the public outcry if these accusations were leveled against a Republican figure. It is doubtful that the liberal media would give such a story the same muted response it has given to this potentially damaging report on the Second Gentleman.
Photos of Emhoff and his then-girlfriend from 2012 have been shared with the Daily Mail, along with other documentation that reportedly corroborates some aspects of the alleged incident. Despite these claims, both the Harris-Emhoff team and the ex-girlfriend have declined to comment.
What is particularly disturbing is the lack of response from Vice President Harris, who has consistently positioned herself as a champion for women and a vocal advocate against violence toward women. Why the silence on an issue that strikes at the heart of her platform? As a senator, Harris was outspoken on matters of sexual misconduct—especially during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings. Shouldn’t she be held to the same standard when allegations emerge so close to home?
The American public deserves transparency from its leaders, especially those who preach accountability. The mainstream media, predictably, has largely ignored the story, perhaps hoping it will disappear quietly. But conservative voices must ensure that such allegations are not swept under the rug simply because they involve the husband of a Democratic vice president.
Imagine the fury if a similar accusation were made against a prominent Republican spouse. The double standard is blatant, and it shows just how selective the media can be when it comes to protecting the powerful in their preferred political party. Accountability should transcend party lines, and figures in the public eye, especially those in positions of influence, must answer for their actions—past or present.

While the left continually touts its commitment to women’s rights and safety, it is time for those principles to be applied consistently, regardless of political affiliation. Doug Emhoff, like anyone else accused of misconduct, must be held accountable for his actions—whether it occurred last week or over a decade ago.
Conservatives must demand the same level of scrutiny and justice from the left as they impose on others. This story, if true, raises serious concerns about character and hypocrisy at the highest levels of the current administration. It is time to take a closer look and hold all public figures accountable, no matter their political standing.
