Hunter Biden is at it again, proving he’s the ultimate victim in a saga of his own making. This time, his high-powered lawyer, Abbe Lowell, has penned a 52-page epic tale of woe titled “The Political Prosecutions of Hunter Biden.” Apparently, the son of the most powerful man in the world is just a misunderstood guy caught in the “evil clutches” of a politically charged justice system. Cue the violins.
Lowell’s statement, laughably described as a “warning” about Republicans’ supposed vendetta, whines about a “seven-year saga” aimed at harming President Biden through his wayward son. He paints Hunter as a hapless victim of GOP ire and portrays his legal woes as part of a broader conspiracy. Yes, because nothing screams political persecution like failing to pay $1.4 million in taxes or possessing a firearm while high on crack cocaine.
Hunter’s Legal “Victories” and Looming Sentences
Let’s not forget the stellar track record of this “political martyr.” Hunter pleaded guilty to nine counts of tax fraud and now faces up to 17 years in prison and $1.3 million in fines. That’s before we get to the three gun charges he was convicted of back in June. But don’t worry—Hunter’s lawyers insist he’s been treated unfairly, claiming he’s being subjected to harsher penalties than anyone else for less serious offenses.
Sure, because most people with Hunter’s rap sheet and brazen admissions of drug abuse get a free pass, right? Perhaps the lawyers missed the part where his own laptop and autobiography provided airtight evidence of his crimes. You’d think a guy who wrote about his crack addiction and criminal behavior in lurid detail might have thought twice before crying foul when the evidence was used against him.
A Memo Full of Irony
Lowell’s melodramatic memo brands Hunter’s legal troubles as an “abuse of power,” claiming prosecutors have been corrupted by politics. The irony here is rich: the very people screaming about political prosecutions have spent years dismissing similar claims from Donald Trump and his supporters. It seems when it’s their guy under the microscope, suddenly the justice system is rigged.
The memo even rehashes the infamous plea deal that imploded in 2023 when a judge called out the shady backroom arrangement. That deal would have handed Hunter broad immunity, sparking outrage from Republicans who rightly called it a sweetheart deal. But, of course, in Hunter’s world, accountability equals persecution.
Daddy’s Boy Plays the Victim
Hunter’s legal team conveniently leaves out one key point: Hunter is where he is because of his own choices. Tax evasion? That wasn’t political persecution—it was his refusal to pay what he owed. Gun charges? Well, maybe don’t buy a firearm while smoking crack. Yet Hunter still wants us to believe he’s a victim of a sinister GOP plot.
And let’s not overlook the real goal here. This whining campaign isn’t about justice—it’s a desperate push for President Biden to issue a pardon. Lowell’s statement reeks of a last-ditch effort to sway public opinion and pressure Joe Biden into rescuing his troubled son. After all, Thanksgiving was spent together in Nantucket, so perhaps some family bonding time will soften Dad’s resolve.
The Hypocrisy of Biden Allies
It’s worth noting the jaw-dropping hypocrisy of Biden’s allies. When Donald Trump raised similar concerns about politically motivated investigations, Democrats scoffed. Now, with Hunter in the hot seat, the same playbook suddenly becomes legitimate. Hunter’s memo claims politics has corrupted the justice system, but the Biden administration’s own behavior suggests they’re just mad their usual privilege didn’t work this time.
And speaking of irony, Hunter himself had the gall to call Trump supporters a “fascist minority.” Yet Trump, unlike Joe Biden, has kept the door open to pardoning Hunter. Imagine that: the guy Hunter vilifies as a dictator might show him more mercy than his own father.
Republicans Will Pursue Justice
As the incoming Republican leadership takes the reins, Hunter’s camp knows the heat is about to turn up. GOP lawmakers have been crystal clear: they will investigate the Bidens’ corruption and ensure no one is above the law—not even the First Family. Hunter’s “laptop from hell” remains a treasure trove of incriminating evidence, and Republicans will continue to shine a light on the web of influence-peddling and shady dealings that surrounds the Biden name.
Final Thoughts: Hunter’s Sob Story Won’t Work
In the end, Hunter Biden’s memo is little more than a desperate PR stunt designed to salvage his reputation and plead for leniency. But the American people see through the spin. Hunter isn’t a victim—he’s a privileged man-child who has spent years dodging accountability while his family capitalized on his connections.
So, Mr. Lowell, spare us the 52 pages of melodrama. The facts are clear, the evidence is overwhelming, and justice will be served—whether Hunter Biden likes it or not.
