Sesame Street Unleashes Full-Force Pride Month Celebration, Ignoring the Innocence of Young Minds
In a stunning display, the formerly beloved children’s TV series “Sesame Street” wholeheartedly embraced June’s “pride month” with a series of tweets dedicated to this sexuality-focused celebration.
And yet, the audacious claim from the gay lobby insists they are not targeting our children? Wut?
Although “Sesame Street” refrained from altering its iconic logo with rainbow colors like many other entities, it shamelessly flooded its Twitter feed with numerous posts promoting this left-wing extravaganza to its young audience.
Let us not forget that “Sesame Street” is supposedly intended for tiny tots between the ages of 2 and 5. This should be an age where discussions about sexuality are utterly irrelevant. However, this revered kids’ TV show unapologetically thrusts “pride month” upon impressionable young minds.
The first “pride” post emerged as June commenced, featuring actress Ariana DeBose, who identifies as “queer,” in a video explaining the show’s fervent “pride” celebration.
DeBose declared, “Hi, Elmo and I wanted to share that everyone is always welcome on ‘Sesame Street.’
This month and every month, we want to uplift and celebrate our LGBTQIA+ family, friends, and communities.”
Elmo chimed in, exclaiming, “From our ‘Sesame Street’ family to yours, happy pride. Elmo loves you.” Now, one Twitter user posed a valid question to the show’s producers:
“Isn’t this a show created specifically for pre-schoolers and very young children? Why isn’t the show sticking to being kind to all while omitting all talk of sexuality, gender, and other topics suited solely for mature minds? Why not allow tiny ones to be innocent & carefree?”
However, let us remember that this year’s “Sesame Street” commitment to pushing the hardcore left-wing agenda on small children is nothing new. Alongside their annual tweets about “pride month,” the show consistently serves as a relentless advocate for the left’s ideology.
In 2021, Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz rightfully criticized the show for pushing President Joe Biden’s COVID obsession on kids, featuring the beloved character Big Bird urging little ones to get vaccinated.
Cruz even sponsored legislation to prevent COVID vaccine mandates for young children, as the illness rarely affects individuals under 20 unless they have preexisting serious medical conditions.
Furthermore, in 2021, the show invited First Lady Jill Biden to impart the leftist concept of “racial literacy” onto kids—an excuse to inject the far left’s inherently racist ideals of Critical Race Theory into the minds of toddlers who had just begun to walk and talk.
Let us not forget when the series intentionally introduced a gay couple during a “family day” episode. Alan Muraoka, the series host who identifies as gay, proudly exclaimed, “Sesame Street has always been a welcoming place of diversity and inclusion.
So I’m so excited to introduce Nina’s Brother Dave, his husband Frank, and their daughter Mia to our sunny street. Our Family Day episode drops today on HBOMax and on YouTube.”
And who could overlook the moment when the show invited cross-dressing actor Billy Porter to flaunt his Oscars tuxedo dress in 2020?
During that same year, the series shamelessly pushed the far left’s “anti-racist” agenda, dedicating an entire half-hour show to teaching kids how to be “anti-racist.” NBC News highlighted this special, where young audiences were provided with a definition of “racism” and encouraged to call out anyone suspected of harboring racist beliefs.
