A tech company has added fuel to the Kamala Harris earrings conspiracy theory by joking that her debate night accessories bear a striking resemblance to their Bluetooth devices — and even offered to design an “orange” version for Donald Trump.
Rumors that Harris, 59, wore clip-on audio headphones disguised as pearl earrings during her debate with the former president, 78, have been spreading rapidly across social media following Tuesday’s presidential debate.
Germany-based Icebach Sound Solutions joined the conversation after conspiracy-leaning Trump supporters claimed the vice president was wearing one of their Bluetooth devices, the Nova H1 Audio Earring.
“We cannot confirm if Mrs. Harris used our product. The similarity is undeniable, and although our device wasn’t designed specifically for use in presidential debates, it could certainly serve that purpose,” said Malte Iversen, managing director of Icebach, in a playful statement to tech outlet Tom’s Guide.
“To ensure fairness for both candidates, we are developing a male version and hope to offer it to the Trump campaign soon. The only challenge is that orange doesn’t go well with many colors,” Iversen added humorously.
A message on the Munich-based company’s website further explains, “Since the debate, we’ve received numerous requests for interviews from TV shows. After careful consideration, we’ve decided to do one live interview … and our chosen interviewer is Jimmy Fallon, a trusted Bavarian at heart.”
It’s unclear when the alleged Fallon interview will take place.
The so-called “earring-gate” controversy gained traction after several right-wing figures fixated on Harris’s pearls, claiming they housed a secret Bluetooth device allowing her to receive coaching during the ABC News debate in Philadelphia.
However, the Nova H1 Audio Earrings only share a loose resemblance to the earrings Harris wore, as both feature pearls. Harris’s actual earrings appeared to be a gold version of Tiffany & Co.’s Double Pearl Hinged Earrings.

A sterling silver version of the Tiffany earrings, which retailed for $800, seems to have sold out on the brand’s website. Meanwhile, the clip-on Nova H1 Audio Earrings are priced at around $625.
Interestingly, Harris has previously criticized Bluetooth earpieces, labeling them a security risk, and has often been seen using wired earbuds while campaigning.
The company also announced plans to clear up any “rumors and myths surrounding our amazing products” during an upcoming appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”
Similar conspiracy theories circulated on social media during the 2020 and 2016 elections, with claims that both President Biden and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton were using earpieces during debates with Trump. These allegations were quickly debunked by fact-checking websites.
Trump himself seemed to add fuel to the conspiracy fire during an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, suggesting Harris may have had advance knowledge of debate topics.
“They had a rigged show with someone who might have even had the answers,” Trump claimed. “Honestly, I watched her and thought, ‘She seems way too familiar with the questions.’”
