DEI: The Poisonous Scam Finally Imploding Under Its Own Weight

For years, Americans have been subjected to the relentless rise of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” (DEI)—a destructive ideology that swept through our institutions like a tidal wave of self-righteous nonsense. What began as a feel-good fad quickly turned into a multimillion-dollar industry of indoctrination, where employees and students alike were force-fed divisive rhetoric under the guise of progress.

But now, as the cracks in this social experiment grow wider, DEI’s grip on America’s institutions is finally starting to falter.

The $8 Billion Grift

Make no mistake: DEI has been one of the most damaging and morally bankrupt trends in modern American history. Corporations and universities have spent a staggering $8 billion annually to train people to view themselves as either victims or oppressors, depending on their race or gender. Employees are browbeaten in workshops to accept the notion that white supremacy is woven into the very fabric of American life, while dissent is treated as heresy.

It’s no wonder this racial hectoring—pushed by smug, self-appointed “diversity experts”—has left a trail of division, paranoia, and suppressed free speech in its wake.

Turning Common Sense Upside Down

A flood of evidence now shows that DEI doesn’t foster understanding or cooperation—it creates conflict and suspicion where none existed before. A new study from the Network Contagion Research Institute and Rutgers University Social Perception Lab reveals just how toxic this ideology is.

In one telling experiment, researchers exposed students to an essay inspired by DEI darlings Ibram X. Kendi and Robin DiAngelo. These students were then asked to evaluate a racially neutral scenario involving a rejected college applicant.

The results? Students fed DEI rhetoric were far more likely to invent imaginary prejudice, accusing the admissions officer of “micro-aggressions” and demanding punitive measures, such as mandatory DEI training, suspension, and public apologies. It’s a prime example of how DEI isn’t about equity or inclusion—it’s about fostering racial paranoia and punishing perceived enemies.

DEI’s Miserable Track Record

If DEI is the answer, one has to wonder what the question was. Take the University of Michigan’s decade-long, $250 million experiment to integrate DEI into every corner of campus life. The New York Times Magazine begrudgingly admitted the initiative has been a complete failure.

According to surveys, students and faculty now report less campus belonging and less interaction across racial, religious, and political lines compared to when the program began. DEI hasn’t built bridges; it’s built walls. Meanwhile, petty disputes have ballooned into campus-wide “crises,” and faculty now tiptoe around every interaction for fear of committing an accidental offense.

This isn’t inclusion—it’s Orwellian micromanagement.

Corporate America Gets a Clue

Thankfully, the DEI wave appears to be receding. Walmart, one of the largest companies in the world, recently announced it is ditching the term “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion” and rolling back associated initiatives. Other companies are quietly following suit, realizing that pandering to activists is bad for both morale and business.

With a potential Trump administration on the horizon—one unafraid to take on this ideological monstrosity—DEI’s days might truly be numbered.

A Welcome End to a Toxic Era

What would America gain by rejecting DEI? A great deal.

We’d save billions of dollars and countless hours currently wasted on indoctrination workshops. We’d free students and employees from walking on eggshells, terrified that an innocent remark might be misconstrued. Most importantly, we’d stop teaching people to distrust each other based on skin color.

DEI was never about inclusion. It was about wielding power under the pretense of morality. It painted a false picture of American society as irredeemably racist and sought to divide us along lines of race, gender, and ideology.

DEI Has Been Tried—and It Has Failed

The old socialist excuse, “It hasn’t been tried correctly,” doesn’t apply here. DEI has been tried, and it has failed spectacularly. It hasn’t created a more equitable society. It’s created hostility, bureaucracy, and division.

The sooner we ditch this poisonous ideology, the sooner we can return to fostering true meritocracy, mutual respect, and genuine inclusion—the kind that doesn’t require mandatory training sessions or punitive measures to enforce.

Goodbye, DEI. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
