Outrageous and it’s coming to a city near you! Commuters are up in arms as the prospect of shelling out more hard-earned cash looms over their drives into Lower Manhattan.

And who’s footing the bill for this madness? That’s right, us—the taxpayers and drivers who already bear the burden of countless tolls and fees.

As if the headaches of navigating through the concrete jungle weren’t enough, residents now fear that their neighborhoods will be inundated with a tsunami of new traffic.

Taxi drivers, already teetering on the edge, are terrified of losing even more customers. It’s a slap in the face to the very people who keep this city moving!

Terrorist Cop Does the UNTHINKABLE!

For years, we’ve endured the same old promises from officials about the supposed benefits of congestion pricing—reduced traffic, less pollution, and a better transit system. But who’s really going to benefit, and at what cost?

New Jersey officials are crying foul, accusing New York of piling on tolls that will cripple its residents. Activists warn that rerouted truck traffic could spike asthma rates in the Bronx.

And Staten Island’s borough president, Vito J. Fossella, isn’t mincing words—this plan is a “three-strike loser” for the people of Staten Island. Air pollution will worsen, traffic will be a nightmare, and all for what?

The tolls proposed by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) are nothing short of highway robbery. $15 for cars, up to $36 for commercial trucks, and don’t even get me started on the extra charges for taxis, Uber, and Lyft.

Low-income drivers get a measly 50 percent off after the first 10 trips in a month, but who are we kidding? Most commuters driving into Manhattan aren’t low income.

And here’s the kicker—the MTA, the same agency that can’t seem to get its act together, will oversee this tolling program starting next spring. We’re expected to believe that they’ll manage this seamlessly? Color us skeptical.

The Black Community NEEDS to Hear this!

Sure, some experts claim that once we “acclimate” to this new reality, we’ll be singing its praises. But for now, it’s a hard sell. Even a member of the MTA advisory board, John Samuelsen, threw in the towel in protest. He’s right; this plan is all stick and no carrot.

Congestion pricing might pad the pockets of the MTA, but at what cost to us? Reports suggest it could drive up the authority’s debt to a staggering $56.7 billion by 2028. And don’t even get started on the potential traffic chaos outside the tolling zone.

The proposed rates might raise billions, but at what expense to the hardworking drivers and taxpayers who keep this city running? It’s time for officials to listen to the people, not just their bottom line. This congestion pricing plan is an affront to every driver and taxpayer in this city, and we won’t stand for it!
