As Kamala Harris continues her bid for the White House, her campaign has been marked by a series of misleading statements and outright lies. Fact-checkers from across the political spectrum have repeatedly called her out, yet she continues to propagate these falsehoods. For a campaign that claims to champion transparency and honesty, the frequency of Harris’s distortions paints a very different picture.
Let’s break down some of the most significant instances where Harris has been caught misleading the American public, particularly on issues close to voters’ hearts—Social Security, Medicare, abortion, and immigration. For any conservative, pro-Trump supporter, it’s important to know just how often Harris has been caught playing fast and loose with the truth.
The Project 2025 Lie: Social Security and Medicare
One of Harris’s most persistent lies during her campaign is the claim that Donald Trump intends to slash Social Security and Medicare through “Project 2025.” In multiple speeches, she has alleged that Trump’s re-election would lead to a dismantling of these programs that so many Americans depend on.

Fact-checkers quickly debunked this claim. Trump has been on the record repeatedly stating his opposition to cutting Social Security or Medicare. In fact, during his first term, Trump’s administration resisted efforts to make cuts to these programs, and he pledged that under no circumstances would he allow any reductions. Even after leaving office, Trump has reiterated this stance, most recently in July 2024, promising that not “one penny” would be cut from either program.
Harris’s reference to Project 2025 is equally misleading. While Project 2025, developed by conservative think tanks, includes many proposals to reform government agencies, it does not advocate for cutting Social Security or Medicare. Instead, Harris has intentionally twisted the truth to scare voters into believing Trump supports policies that he has explicitly rejected.
False Claims About Abortion and IVF
Abortion has been a contentious issue in the 2024 campaign, and Harris has taken full advantage of it to spread misinformation. During a debate, she falsely claimed that Trump’s abortion restrictions were preventing couples from accessing in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments. This claim was quickly fact-checked and proven false. There is no evidence that any of Trump’s policies have impacted IVF access, which remains legal in all 50 states.
Moreover, Harris also spread false information about late-term abortions. She claimed that “nowhere in America” could a woman seek an abortion late in her pregnancy. This was categorically false. In reality, several states, including Colorado and Minnesota, allow abortions without gestational limits, meaning that abortions can legally be sought even in the third trimester.
The Charlottesville Lie: Misrepresenting Trump’s Remarks
Harris, like many other Democrats, continues to push the false narrative that Trump called white supremacists “very fine people” following the Charlottesville protests in 2017. This claim has been thoroughly debunked by multiple fact-checkers. While Trump’s remarks were taken out of context by his opponents, he explicitly condemned white supremacists and neo-Nazis in the same press conference. Yet Harris, undeterred by the truth, has repeated this lie in an attempt to smear Trump’s character.
For someone who claims to represent truth and justice, Harris’s willingness to propagate a lie that has been debunked countless times is concerning, to say the least.

Misleading Claims on Education and Race
Harris also twisted the facts when she visited Florida to criticize the state’s education curriculum, claiming that Florida was teaching students that enslaved people “benefited from slavery.” This was rated “Mostly True” but misleading. While it’s true that controversial language about the skills enslaved people learned was included in Florida’s curriculum, Harris exaggerated the claim for political gain. Even historians who opposed the curriculum’s language agreed that her characterization was an oversimplification.
Additionally, Harris falsely claimed that some states have banned the teaching of Latino and Hispanic history. This claim was found to be mostly false. Harris pointed to outdated examples, such as a 2010 Arizona law that was overturned in 2017. No current state laws explicitly ban the teaching of Latino or Hispanic history.
Immigration Lies: The So-Called ‘Border Czar’
Another misleading claim from Harris was her portrayal of her role as the so-called “border czar.” While Republicans labeled her as such, implying that she was directly responsible for the border crisis, Harris herself claimed that she was only addressing the root causes of migration, not directly managing border security. However, fact-checkers found her characterization of her responsibilities as inaccurate and designed to deflect responsibility from the immigration failures under the Biden-Harris administration.
Conclusion: A Campaign Built on Falsehoods
Kamala Harris has repeatedly shown her willingness to mislead the public on key issues, from Social Security and Medicare to abortion and immigration. Her false claims and half-truths should be deeply concerning to anyone who values honesty in leadership. While Harris presents herself as a candidate who fights for the American people, her long trail of fact-checked lies tells a different story.
For conservatives and Trump supporters, it’s clear that Harris’s campaign of deception is an attempt to manipulate voters rather than provide real solutions. With each false claim she makes, Harris proves that she is not fit to lead America. As voters head to the polls, they deserve the truth, not more of Harris’s lies.
