In a shocking display of injustice, a violent illegal immigrant, Jhoan Boada, who actively participated in a mob attack on two NYPD officers, brazenly gave the middle finger to waiting reporters upon his release from custody on Wednesday.

This 22-year-old offender seemed utterly unconcerned about the serious charges of assaulting a police officer and gang assault stemming from the brutal attack near a migrant shelter in Times Square. Boada shamelessly smirked and flipped his two middle fingers at reporters and photographers outside the Midtown South Precinct in Manhattan, wearing a black Los Angeles Lakers shirt and khakis, his left forearm adorned with a tattoo.

Boada is just one of seven illegal immigrants charged in connection to the appalling assault on an NYPD officer and lieutenant near the popular tourist destination, the New Amsterdam theater. The caught-on-camera attack, which saw the suspects kicking and assaulting officers, has triggered widespread condemnation.

The lack of criminal accountability is alarming, as others involved, including Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel, Kelvin Servat Arocha, Juarez Wilson, and Yorman Reveron, have been charged with assault on a police officer, gang assault, obstructing governmental administration, and disorderly conduct.

Adding to the outrage, two more migrants, Yohenry Brito and Jandry Barros, were arrested and charged with robbery and felony assault. The robbery charges are related to the theft of an officer’s cell phone during the attack, a phone that remains unrecovered, according to the NYPD.

In the disturbing video footage, officers are seen trying to subdue a person in a yellow jacket, only to be attacked by several suspects. One suspect kicks an officer twice in the head, while another kicks him in the back. A hooded suspect wearing a backpack takes a swinging kick aimed at an officer’s head, resulting in chaos and the suspects fleeing the scene.

Despite sustaining minor injuries, including cuts to the face and bruising to the body, the officers bravely stood their ground. The NYPD is still on the lookout for at least two other suspects involved in this reprehensible attack.

John Chell, the NYPD Chief of Patrol, rightly labeled this incident as “reprehensible” during a news conference, condemning the attackers as “cowards” for their brutal assault on law enforcement officers. The question looms large: when will these offenders face the full extent of criminal accountability for their outrageous actions?
