President Joe Biden’s October job approval rating saw a decline among likely voters, according to a Rasmussen poll released on Thursday. This decline aligns with previous surveys, which indicated that Joe Biden’s approval rating dropped after the Hamas terror attacks against Israel on October 7.

In October, Joe Biden’s approval rating stood at 45 percent, marking a two-point decrease from September. Concurrently, 54 percent of likely voters expressed disapproval of Joe Biden’s job performance, which is an increase of three points within one month, as reported by Rasmussen.
To provide some context, Biden’s approval ratings had been in the low 40s during the early part of 2022. His approval ratings showed improvement after the midterm elections and the State of the Union address.
During his first year in office in 2021, Biden’s approval ratings reached a high of 52 percent in May but decreased significantly following the troubled withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021.
Notably, Joe Biden’s 45 percent approval rating in October was two points lower than former President Donald Trump’s approval rating in his final month in office, as indicated by the poll.

The Rasmussen poll was based on a sample of 7,000 likely voters and has a margin of error of one point.
It’s important to note that the Rasmussen poll is one of several recent negative polls for the president. A Gallup poll published last week showed that Joe Biden’s approval rating had declined by eleven percentage points among Democrats in just over one month. Additionally, a Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) survey revealed that Joe Biden’s favorability among Americans was at a four-year low.
During the last 30 days, President Biden faced a series of setbacks and scandals, including concerns about inflation, increased gas prices, conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East, and issues related to immigration at the United States’ southern border. The House impeachment inquiry also unveiled financial links between Biden’s family business and the President, with growing evidence found during the inquiry.
