A Gallup poll published on Thursday revealed that President Joe Biden’s approval rating among Democrats dropped from 86 percent to a record low of 75 percent in just over one month.
This decline is attributed to the destabilization in the Middle East. The Democratic party is grappling with significant divisions of support for Palestinians, including those who sympathize with Hamas terrorists.

Biden’s unwavering support for Israel, particularly in response to Hamas’ October 7 terrorist attacks, has raised concerns within his own party.
A Gallup poll conducted in February indicated that, for the first time in the survey’s two-decade history, Democrats expressed greater sympathy for Palestinians than Israelis.
There is a noticeable generational gap in these views. According to a recent NPR/PBS NewsHour/Marist poll, less than half (48%) of Gen Z and millennials believe the U.S. should publicly express support for Israel.
Despite these divisions, President Biden maintains a strong stance in support of Israel’s defensive actions against Hamas. He stated on October 10, “The United States has Israel’s back. We will make sure the Jewish and democratic state of Israel can defend itself today, tomorrow — as we always have.”

It’s worth noting that while Biden supports Palestinian aid, critics argue that it could potentially benefit Hamas. However, this controversial stance has not prevented a notable decline in support for the president.
According to the poll, Biden’s overall approval fell four points to 37 percent. Only 35 percent of independents approve of Biden, with just five percent of Republicans expressing approval.
The poll was conducted from October 2 to October 23 and sampled 1,009 adults, with a margin of error of 4 points.
