TikTok influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who identifies as transgender and caused quite a stir on social media with a Bud Light campaign in April, decided to share multiple videos from Peru this week, claiming that the U.S. is no longer a safe place for them.

In a recent TikTok video, Mulvaney announced their surprise location, saying, “Okay, surprise! I’m in Peru! Look at Machu Picchu. It’s sooo beautiful!”

They continued, “I’ve encountered countless llamas, and the people here are incredibly kind. I feel much safer in Peru. It’s a bit disheartening that I had to leave my own country to feel secure, but hopefully, things will improve eventually.” Mulvaney, who boasts over 10 million TikTok followers, shared that their trip to Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, also served as a personal and spiritual journey.

“I came here to experience something profound, and boy, did I find it. The shaman ceremonies I participated in felt like ten years’ worth of therapy packed into one wild experience,” Mulvaney revealed.

Meanwhile, Bud Light has witnessed a decline in its popularity, dropping from being the top-selling beer in America to currently ranking 14th. Mulvaney wasted no time criticizing Bud Light for its lack of support following the controversial video that garnered attention, celebrating the milestone of “365 Days of Girlhood.”

Expressing their disappointment, the influencer condemned the resulting boycott, stating, “The fallout from that video was beyond my wildest imagination—pure bullying and an overwhelming display of transphobia.”

“I was frightened and feared further backlash. I even felt personally responsible for the aftermath, so I patiently waited for things to improve. But surprise, they didn’t. I kept waiting for the brand to reach out, but they never did,” Mulvaney added. “In my opinion, for a company to hire a trans individual and then abandon them publicly is even worse than not hiring them at all. It gives customers the freedom to indulge in transphobia and hatred.”

Mulvaney also highlighted the difficulties they’ve faced in public due to the backlash against their pro-transgender video for Bud Light.

“For months now, I’ve been terrified to step outside my own house. I’ve faced public ridicule, harassment, and an overwhelming sense of loneliness that no one should have to endure. I’m sharing this not to seek pity but to shed light on my privileged perspective. It’s crucial to acknowledge that the experiences of other transgender individuals are far worse,” Mulvaney explained.

As of now, Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, has not responded to requests for comments from Fox News Digital.
