As Health concerns mount after Ohio train derailment on February 3rd, many are wondering if the chemicals from the derailed train cars pose a threat to the nearby residents. The derailment happened in Springfield Township, just outside of Cincinnati.
There were no reported injuries from the derailment, but some of the 27 cars that derailed were carrying hazardous materials. The most concerning of these is a substance called acrylonitrile. Acrylonitrile is used in the production of plastics and is considered a human carcinogen by the Environmental Protection Agency.
So far there have been no reports of any health problems stemming from the derailment, but officials are urging caution for those living near the site. The EPA and hazmat teams are still working to clean up the area and say it could take weeks or even months. In the meantime, they are advising people to avoid any contact with water in the area and to keep their windows closed to prevent any fumes from coming inside.
On February 12, 2023, Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted that journalists were being arrested for trying to tell the story.
At the heart of the issue is a train derailment on January 20, 2023, in East Palestine, Ohio, that released toxic substances into the environment. The lawsuit filed by two Pennsylvania residents calls for the rail operator to pay for medical screenings and related care for anyone living within a 30-mile (48-kilometer) radius of the derailment to determine who was affected by the toxic substances.
This is a prime example of the media attempting to sweep the real story under the rug. Why is the media not talking more about the potential health risks of this disaster? Why are they not talking about the lawsuit or the need for medical screenings?
The media would rather talk about other stories, such as UFO sightings, rather than the real issues that are happening in Ohio. It’s their duty to report the truth, yet they are actively engaging in censorship in order to keep the public in the dark.
What’s worse is that West Virginia American Water has said that it will install a secondary intake on the Guyandotte River in case there’s a need to switch to an alternate water source. This is a clear indication that contamination is a real concern.
On February 3, a horrifying railroad accident took place. A Norfolk Southern freight train derailed in East Palestine, Ohio. You might've seen images of the flames, but you probably haven't heard that unions were trying to prevent this exact accident. 🧵pic.twitter.com/pnynoFHSnm

I saw some reports where residents are wondering if it’s safe to return. No. I seriously don’t think it’s safe and they would probably feel the same way if the media was doing their freaking job and covering this obvious disaster!
Oh, But UFOs!
Like everyone else I find the breach of US airspace egregious and very serious if that’s what is happening. However, this is an ongoing health risk and a major disaster— But the media doesn’t want to talk about it?
The citizens of Ohio deserve to know the truth and to have access to the medical screenings and care they need. We all need to work together to make sure that the truth is told.
